The product Gien Filets Indigo cake platter belongs to Filets Indigo. Unfortunately Gien is discontinuing the 'Filets Indigo' table service. This line is only produced three times a year. The 'Filets Indigo' dinner service is a new colour variation of the famous blue classic from Gien. The enchanting shell shape of the dinner service of ecru-coloured faience is adorned with dark blue, hand-painted lines. The plates from the 'Filets Indigo' series are a perfect match for the 'Indigo' dinnerware from Gien. Faience – a fine, porous earthenware that is glazed – can be dated back to Ancient Egypt. It is a technique that has been used and perfected in a unique way by the Fayencerie de Gien (Gien Faience Factory) since 1821.
